World Ministry
Honduras
Meet Wes and Lindsay Evatt and their children, Bella, Nate, and Marleigh. The Evatts are members here at Eastside and have hearts of gold. They recently made the decision to fill a missions calling that has been on thier lives. They have previously served at the Mauldin Church of God Home for Children. They made the decision to move their family to Honduras in June of 2016 to serve as teachers. The Evatts have fallen in love with their students and the new chapter in their lives. Please consider giving to their mission.
Israel
Meet Remi and Laura Rauh, the missionaries we support in Isreal. We will let them introduce themselves…
“We, Laura and Remi Rauh, live in Jerusalem, currently in a suburb north of Jerusalem. We have been married 5 years and have two lively boys – Reuel Joseph aged 4 and Isaiah Benjamin aged 3. We lead a small but important Ministry in Jerusalem. Church School Service was founded around 40 years ago to produce and distribute Christian Literature in Arabic for the Arabic speaking believers in the Land. Currently our focus is more on the distribution of the Christian Literature from our ministry center in Jerusalem, our bookshop which we recently named “Heavenly Light Bookshop” and ministering to those who come through our doors. We are also currently involved with the Church of God Mt of Olives Church. We are very happy that you have taken us on to support us as your Israel project. May the Lord bless you all.”
South Africa
We are the Grizzles, Bryson, Anna, Rowen Asher and Julien Levi. We are currently based in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, where our focus is on establishing house churches. Our mission is to empower local residents to reach out to their own communities. We believe that this approach embodies the kind of discipleship that Christ envisioned in The Great Commission. Our strategy involves creating a network of interconnected house churches that will in turn give rise to new house churches. We are convinced that this model has the potential to spark a spiritual revival in regions such as Somalia, South Sudan, Chad, Western Sahara, and other places where the spread of the Gospel has been restricted. Our commitment to missions is unwavering, and we are deeply passionate about the calling we have received from God. This is not a passing phase or a temporary endeavor for us; rather, it is the lifelong path we have chosen to follow. We have witnessed firsthand the urgent need for our work, and as a family, we have resolved to dedicate ourselves wholeheartedly to this cause. Our guiding principle is encapsulated in a saying I coined a few years ago: “You can’t get lost chasing Jesus.”
